Dulcolax Twelve Plus Pico Liquid is a sodium picosulfate oral solution for short-term relief of occasional constipation. It stimulates the bowel to produce a movement in 6 to 12 hours. Sugar free, fruit flavour. Use for a few days only unless advised otherwise.
How to use
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over should take one to two 5 ml spoonfuls, preferably at night. If you have not used it before, start with one 5 ml dose and increase to two 5 ml doses only if needed. Do not exceed the stated dose. Do not use for longer than five days without medical advice. Not for children under 12 years. If symptoms persist or abdominal pain continues, speak to a pharmacist or doctor.

Side Effects:
- Abdominal cramps, diarrhoea, nausea or dizziness can occur. Stop use and get advice if you develop persistent diarrhoea, severe cramps, rash, swelling or breathing difficulty. Do not use if you have bowel obstruction, acute abdominal conditions such as appendicitis, severe dehydration, or unexplained abdominal pain with nausea or vomiting. Avoid prolonged daily use because stimulant laxatives may cause dependence or electrolyte imbalance. The product contains alcohol, up to about 480 mg per dose, which is relevant for people with alcoholism, liver disease, epilepsy, and during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Parabens may cause allergic reactions. Ask a pharmacist or doctor for advice if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, elderly, on diuretics or corticosteroids, or have long-term constipation.
