About this product
Eumovate Eczema & Dermatitis Cream 0.05% is a moderately potent steroid for short-term flare control. It reduces redness, itching and dryness on small patches of eczema or dermatitis, with improvement usually seen within a few days. For adults and children 12 years and over.
How to use
-
Apply a thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily for up to 7 days, then stop. Use the smallest amount that covers the area, for example around half a fingertip of cream for a palm-sized patch. Wash hands after application unless treating the hands. Do not use on large areas, on the face, groin, genitals, between toes, on broken skin or infected skin, and do not cover with dressings. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days, or return quickly after stopping, speak to a pharmacist or doctor. Not for under 12s unless advised by a clinician.

Side Effects & Cautions
Side Effects:
-
Local irritation, burning, itching or redness can occur; stop and seek advice if the condition worsens or you think you are reacting to the cream. Using too much or for longer than directed can thin the skin and, rarely, lead to systemic steroid effects, especially on large areas or under occlusion. Avoid contact with the eyes; seek advice if you notice blurred vision or other visual changes. Do not use for acne, rosacea, untreated infections, around leg ulcers, or if you are allergic to any ingredient. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. The risk of steroid side effects increases with duration, large treatment areas and thin or inflamed skin. Because the product contains paraffin, keep treated skin and soiled fabrics away from naked flames.
