GoldenEye Chloramphenicol eye drops treat acute bacterial conjunctivitis. They target the bacteria behind red, sticky, irritated eyes and help clear discharge. Suitable for adults and children aged 2 years and over, for a 5-day course. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment.
How to use

Use one drop in the affected eye every 2 hours during waking hours for the first 48 hours, then one drop every 4 hours. Continue for 5 days, even if symptoms improve, then stop. Seek advice if there is no improvement within 48 hours or symptoms worsen. Do not use for more than 5 days without medical advice. Remove contact lenses before use and wait 24 hours after the last dose before wearing soft lenses.

Stinging, burning or blurred vision can occur briefly after dosing. Allergic reactions are possible; stop and get medical advice if you develop swelling, breathing problems or a severe rash. Very rare changes in blood cells have been reported; stop and seek advice if you bruise easily or feel unusually tired. Do not use if you are allergic to chloramphenicol, if you have had previous blood problems with chloramphenicol, or if blood disorders run in your family. Check with a clinician before use if you have glaucoma, dry eye, eye injury, recent eye surgery, unusual pupil or cloudy eye, or if you take bone-marrow-suppressing medicines such as azathioprine or chemotherapy. Ask for advice before use in pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not share the bottle with others.
