About this product
I-Care Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment 1% treats acute bacterial conjunctivitis. It targets common bacteria that cause red, sticky, irritated eyes. Apply a 1 cm ribbon to the lower lid 3 to 4 times daily for 5 days. Relief usually starts within 1 to 2 days. Suitable from 2 years.
How to use
-
Wash and dry your hands. Pull the lower eyelid down and, while looking up, place about a 1 cm ribbon of ointment into the space between the lid and the eye. Close the eye briefly, blinking spreads the film. Use 3 to 4 times daily for 5 days. If you also use chloramphenicol drops, use the drops by day and the ointment at night. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment, wait at least 24 hours after the last dose before wearing soft lenses. Seek medical advice if there is no improvement within 48 hours or symptoms worsen. Do not repeat courses without advice. Discard any remaining ointment after the 5-day course.
