Otrivine Antistin Eye Drops 10 ml give temporary relief from red, itchy, allergic eyes, including hay fever and house dust allergy. The decongestant shrinks surface eye vessels while the antihistamine blocks histamine, easing redness and itch. Not for children under 12 years. Do not use for longer than 7 days.

How to use
  • Wash your hands. Instil one to two drops into each eye two to three times daily for adults, or one drop two to three times daily for ages 12 to 17. Do not exceed the stated dose. If you use other eye drops, leave at least five minutes between products. Do not wear contact lenses during treatment. If symptoms have not improved after 2 days, seek medical advice. Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days.
Main Ingredients
  • Each ml contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg and antazoline sulphate 5 mg. Excipients include benzalkonium chloride 0.1 mg/ml, boric acid, disodium edetate, sodium tetraborate and water for injections. Bottle size 10 ml.
Side Effects & Cautions
Side Effects:
  • Brief stinging, blurred vision, headache or drowsiness can occur. Stop and get advice if you develop allergic symptoms, persistent redness, vision changes, fast or irregular heartbeat or raised blood pressure. Do not use if you have narrow-angle glaucoma, if you wear contact lenses, if you are taking, or took in the last 14 days, a monoamine oxidase inhibitor, or if you are allergic to any ingredient. Use with caution if you have hypertension, heart disease, long QT syndrome, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, phaeochromocytoma or difficulty passing urine. The drops contain benzalkonium chloride, which can irritate the eyes, especially with dry eye or corneal problems. Avoid driving until vision clears after dosing. Ask a clinician for advice if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
